The Sonni Fund in Memory of Ed Bissett

Malcolm
Sonni was a black labrador retriever that was adopted by Ed and Rita Bissett of Hickory. He became the canine brother to black labs Simon and Shadow. Shortly after he was adopted, Sonni was electrocuted by a downed power line on the Bissett property. The Bissetts started the "Sonni Fund" in honor if the memory of their beloved dog to help pay for the veterinary care of injured and handicapped animals.
Ed Bissett passed away on February 17, 2009. He directed that memorial contributions be made to the Sonni fund. We have directed current donations to the fund to benefit a blind dog named Malcolm. Malcolm is a two year old boxer mix that is totally blind. The vet has told us that Malcolm can have surgery on both eyes and that his sight will be totally restored. There are a few other blind dogs at Angel Ridge that are waiting for surgery that may help them to see.
The cost of Malcolm’s surgery is $3000. Please consider a donation the Sonni Fund so that Malcolm can see the beauty of this world. Send your donations to :
