Sentencing for killer of Mya/Noel
You may recall that in December of last year, a woman was arrested for the starvation death of her GSD puppy, Noel. Angel Ridge Animal Rescue joined with Last Hope Safe Haven German Shepherd Rescue to conduct a memorial at our sanctuary for this helpless little soul. It both saddens and sickens us to report that the killer of Mya/Noel was given a mere slap on the wrist - one year's probation. Last Hope Safe Haven has prepared the following message which reflects the feelings of all of us at Angel Ridge:
Unfortunately, Last Hope was not notified about when this sentencing was taking place; of course; it wouldn't have done any good anyway....another slap on the wrist to an animal abuser.....Dear Mya/Noel....although we were too late, we tried to get justice for your suffering....a Garden and memorial stands at Angel Ridge Animal Sanctuary in Washington PA in your honor.....the sanctuary and Last Hope opens their arms to German Shepherds such as you and other animals that may end up with the same fate as you, sweet girl. My heart is breaking all over again....I pray that Last Hope Safe Haven can continue its work in your memory!
