Angels at Angel Ridge Animal Rescue

We are deaf, blind, old, crippled and weak,
Confused, scared, uncertain and meek.
Once starved, neglected, beaten, cast off or over-bred;
At last we have food, shelter, veterinary care and a warm bed.
No longer do we have the fear of being euthanized,
Respect, love, kindness and health are now realized.
Freedom from being trapped in cages and tied out;
It’s a much happier life we now lead, without a doubt.
We are finally at a truly no-kill sanctuary, safe and sound;
Angel Ridge surpasses any abusive home, shelter or pound.
Some of us may eventually be adopted, some won’t.
But, if you’re feeling sorry for us, please don’t.
Our forever home will be Angel Ridge Animal Rescue,
Where we will feel joy and we won’t be blue.
“Guardian Angel” we hope you’ll be,
It will make you feel good - it’s a guarantee!

Yours truly,
The “Angels” in the Guardian Angel program

Many of our angels are permanent residents of Angel Ridge Animal Rescue. These are animals that are handicapped or very old. They would love to have their very own Guardian Angel. You can become a Guardian Angel to one of our little angels by sponsoring their care. For an annual sponsorship gift of $200/year, you can become an Angel Ridge Animal Rescue Guardian Angel. Your gift will be used to provide food and basic veterinary care for one of our deserving animals. Your sponsorship can be paid at one time or in quarterly gifts of $50. If you choose to send your gift each quarter, we will send you a reminder postcard.

Each Guardian Angel will receive a small, framed picture of their little angel. Our newsletter, which you will also receive, will keep you posted on their activities at Angel Ridge.

Angel RIdge Animal Rescue

Angel Ridge Animal Rescue

This sweet eight pound senior terrier came to us on
Valentine’s day. He was abandoned during the night in
an outside pen of a high-kill shelter. Valentine has a
perianal hernia located near his rectum. It is extremely
painful for him to defecate. He is scheduled for
surgery to repair the hernia. Our vet tells us that if he
does not have the surgery, then he should be
euthanized. A specialist will perform the surgery at a
cost of approximately $1500. His chances of a
complete recovery are excellent. Please help us to pay
Valentine’s vet bill. Thank you and God bless.
Mark your check “Valentine” and mail to Angel Ridge
Animal Rescue, 390 Old Hickory Ridge Road,

INTRODUCING OUR BLIND ANGELS

These dogs cannot see, yet they enjoy an independent and happy life at Angel Ridge Animal Rescue. They would love to meet you and show you their special home!

Camael

Angel Ridge Animal Rescue

Draft horse Camael had been seized from an abuser. Camael was starved and was more than 500 pounds underweight when she was rescued.

Camael, our sweet “Cami,” needed surgery right away. In late January, we transported Cami to Ohio State University. This gentle giant, our 1800 lb.. angel, was patient and grateful in spite of the painful surgery. She is recovering in our barn and she will undergo chemotherapy. She has had the very best veterinary care. Dr. Jeff Bissett, our equine veterinarian, should be commended for his dedication and competence.

Thanny

Angel Ridge Animal Rescue

My name is Thanny. I am a thoroughbred in my mid-twenties. I was once a racehorse and then my life changed. Thirteen horses and I were abused and neglected. I was lucky because Angel Ridge Animal Rescue agreed to take me. I now live comfortably on the farm with no worries and I shall live happily ever after here.
